This is the weekend when York looks like the set for “American Graffiti.”
The 42nd Annual Street Rod Nationals East is at the York Expo Center, but the street rods have been spotted all around town this week, from diners to hotels, they’ll be downtown for the street rod parade at noon Friday.
York Dispatch photographers Dawn J. Sagert and Bill Kalina found some early birds here on Thursday, a sampling of the 4,000 customized street rods to be found at the show.
Just a reminder that this Saturday, June 5th, is the next Pottstown Classics Car Club Nostalgia Night on High Street! The show runs from 5 – 9 pm in downtown Pottstown! Last month’s show was a great success!
If you are looking for a fun way to spend a Saturday night, come on downtown and check out the classic cars, listen to the oldies and eat some good food!
I wrote an article about the Pottstown Classics Car Club a while back and recently asked Christine Rhoads, Pottstown Classics Car Club Secretary for a year-end wrap-up and some future events information.
The last car show was phenominal! We had well over 500 cars on High Street! The weather was beautiful and High St was crowded with people! Lots of vendors and great music! We had a neon light competion right after nightfall.
We provided a suggestion slip for all participants to ask what they would like to see us do for the 30th anniversary Nostalgia Nights. We got quite a few really good ideas which we will try to work into the shows.
Our annual Oldies Dinner/Dance will be held in March at Keystone Fire Hall in Boyertown. Final arrangements have not been set. Watch our website for updates. Tickets are available soon.
