Recently, he survived a gunshot wound to the head. Now, he survived a kidnapping at sword-point.

Josue Vargas, 27, was kidnapped from his residence at 62 Hutson St., Wilkes-Barre, in the early hours of Friday morning and taken to a dark, vacant location where two men terrorizing him with a sword stripped him naked and told him they would kill them if he didn’t hand over his bank card, according to an affidavit.

Police charged Jhojan “Flaco” Guerra, 27, and Juan “Speedy” Hernandez, 34, with kidnapping, robbery and related offenses following their arrests shortly after Vargas explained what officers called “a disturbing list of events.”

The defendants claimed Vargas owed them money from a prior debt and knew he was just paid, according to police. The alleged kidnappers struck Vargas in the face to force him into the vehicle around 1 a.m., police said.

WILKES-BARRE, PA — After his wife had a dispute about her driving, police said, Tony Ransome settled the argument with a shotgun.

Ransome, 37, of 86 Hutson St. is charged with aggravated assault and other charges after shooting Josue Vargas of 62 Hutson St., according to a criminal complaint.

Ransome and a woman identified in arrest papers as his wife, Treasa M. Ransome, 38, fled the scene after the shooting around 10:45 a.m. Thursday, police said. Both were still at large Friday, and city police said Tony Ransome should be considered armed and dangerous.

Treasa Ransome is charged with helping her husband evade authorities. Her cellphone data put her around Philadelphia and Montgomery counties as of Thursday afternoon. When police called to tell her that her husband was a suspect in a shooting, she said she was near Hershey, but did not say exactly where and hung up.

One of the last things Fred John Kleman Jr. ever did was tell a speeding driver to slow down.

Minutes later, he was dead in what witnesses characterized as an extreme case of road rage – the furious driver sped back to the scene and ran Kleman down, then tried to beat him with a metal bar, according to state police.

“He was saying to slow down because we were worried about how they race up the street,” said Kleman’s girlfriend, Cathy Huk, 54, who said she knew the Plymouth man for about 13 years.  “He was just telling him to slow down and that guy wanted to kill him.”

State police arrested Lorenzo Burgos, 21, of 469 Third St., Plymouth, on charges of homicide by motor vehicle, involuntary manslaughter, two counts of reckless endangerment and one count each of careless driving and reckless driving.

A Maidencreek Township man was arrested after he pointed a loaded handgun at a couple in another vehicle in a road rage incident on Route 222 in Richmond Township, authorities said Monday.

Travis Heebner, 26, of the 6200 block of Allentown Pike was stopped by Muhlenberg Township police as he entered Business Route 222 in the township shortly after the incident Sunday.

Police said they seized his 9 mm pistol, which was on his lap in a nylon holster when he was stopped. Heebner has a permit for the weapon, which had one round in the chamber and 15 more in its magazine, according to court records.

Muhlenberg police turned Heebner over to Fleetwood police, who responded to the victims’ 9-1-1 call because they patrol Richmond Township.

More Disturbing News In Today’s Mercury

I read about another incident of road rage this morning.  What the hell is wrong with people?  If you are going to ride someone’s bumper, you run the risk of your car getting hit with anything the car in front of you kicks up.  Then you follow someone into a Wawa parking lot and threaten them with a baseball bat?  To make matters worse you say you have a gun!

Fortunately, the perp was drunk and had impaired reflexes.  The victim was not hit. Getting whacked in the head with an aluminum baseball bat would leave a nasty mark!  Thankfully, the gun threat was made up.  When the State Police pulled this piece of work over, he got a DUI along with assault and whatever else they can throw at him.  GOOD!

Another upstanding citizen from Exton tried to murder a Phoenixville resident.  19 years old and you’re trying to whack people?  Are the Soprano’s casting again or what?????

Yesterday, a story appeared about a 29 year-old pervert driving around Pottstown, buck-neeked in his Dad’s car, whilst kneading his noodle in front of little girls.  I think you are a.  Old enough to know better.   b.  Pretty creepy using your Dad’s car to commit a sex crime..  c. In need of some serious counseling.

What is this world coming to?  Makes my head hurt!

More Road Rage!

Seriously people, this crap has to stop.  Why the hell are people driving around carrying guns and shooting or waving them at other drivers?  Then, when you get caught hiding at home by the police, they find a machete as well as a gun!!!  Good Lord!  Are you trying out for Rambo 10?

These people need locked up yesterday!  No second chances!  No I’m misunderstood!  You are a menace to society and should be immediately taken off the streets!  Do not pass go.  Go directly to jail!

Now he’s out on bail!!!  http://www.pottstownmercury.com/articles/2010/05/08/news/srv0000008216910.txt

Update On 422 Shooter

John A. Yannarell, of Gilbertsville posted bail and has been released from the Montgomery County prison.  He posted a $50,000 cash bail (bail was set at $500,000 and the accused pays 10% of that amount).

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 21st.

Inquiring minds want to know…. will he be commuting on 422 between now and the hearing?  Considering the seriousness of this offense, are we safe with this individual on the loose?  I understand there are two sides to every story, however, shooting someone isn’t rational behavior.
