One of the last things Fred John Kleman Jr. ever did was tell a speeding driver to slow down.

Minutes later, he was dead in what witnesses characterized as an extreme case of road rage – the furious driver sped back to the scene and ran Kleman down, then tried to beat him with a metal bar, according to state police.

“He was saying to slow down because we were worried about how they race up the street,” said Kleman’s girlfriend, Cathy Huk, 54, who said she knew the Plymouth man for about 13 years.  “He was just telling him to slow down and that guy wanted to kill him.”

State police arrested Lorenzo Burgos, 21, of 469 Third St., Plymouth, on charges of homicide by motor vehicle, involuntary manslaughter, two counts of reckless endangerment and one count each of careless driving and reckless driving.

A Maidencreek Township man was arrested after he pointed a loaded handgun at a couple in another vehicle in a road rage incident on Route 222 in Richmond Township, authorities said Monday.

Travis Heebner, 26, of the 6200 block of Allentown Pike was stopped by Muhlenberg Township police as he entered Business Route 222 in the township shortly after the incident Sunday.

Police said they seized his 9 mm pistol, which was on his lap in a nylon holster when he was stopped. Heebner has a permit for the weapon, which had one round in the chamber and 15 more in its magazine, according to court records.

Muhlenberg police turned Heebner over to Fleetwood police, who responded to the victims’ 9-1-1 call because they patrol Richmond Township.

Seriously, driving through State College Borough going 60 mph!  Are ya daft!?!

A 28-year-old Ferguson Township man was driving down South Atherton Street (Business Route 322) and attempted to turn right on West College Avenue (Route 26) going 60 mph!  The “driver” lost control of his Land Rover, jumped a curb, crashed through a metal rail, a cement pillar, the side door and a window before coming to a stop.  Are we trying out for the Demolition Derby?

Thankfully, the restaurant was closed (it was 2:45 a.m.) or this would have been a catastrophe!  There was a passenger in the car who was treated for minor injuries.

The “driver” failed a field sobriety test (say it ain’t so Joe) and was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center for a blood-alcohol test.  The driver will be charged with a DUI and reckless driving.

Arby’s will be closed until next week and the part of the building which was impacted by the vehicle was ruled structurally questionable and will need extensive repairs!  Imagine if that restaurant had been full of customers!  This bone-head should be throw in jail and not allowed to pass go!
