Investigation Into Two Deaths In Montgomery Township

Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman and Montgomery Township Police Chief Scott Bendig announce the joint investigation into a homicide, which occurred at 806 Karens Court in Montgomery Township.

On Thursday, April, 30, 2015 at 6:47 PM, the Montgomery Township Police Department responded to the 806 Karens Court for a reported disturbance with shots fired. Arriving officers located a gunshot victim, identified as Brienne Francisco, age 36, at the entrance of the residence. The victim was transported by MEDIVAC to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

The Montgomery County SWAT Central Region Team was deployed due to the potential of a barricaded person inside the residence. Upon entry into the residence, officer’s located a deceased male, age 56, on the first floor. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the male appeared to have sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. A revolver was located next to his body. The identity of the male is being withheld pending family notification.

Investigation has revealed that both Brienne Francisco and the deceased male resided at 806 Karens Court. Autopsies are pending at the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office and Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office.

Pottstown Police Identify Woman Found Dead In Front Of Home

POTTSTOWN, PA — Police have released the identity of a woman found dead on the front steps of her house Monday morning.

Police said Georgina Sanders, 45, was found in front of the house by a neighbor.

Sanders, who lived alone in a one-story home in the 1000 block of Terrace Lane, had known medical issues, police said.

Woman Killed In Apparent Hit-And-Run In Lower Pottsgrove

LOWER POTTSGROVE TOWNSHIP, PA — A bus reportedly struck an elderly woman on Mervine Street in an apparent hit-and-run in Lower Pottsgrove early Monday morning.

The woman was apparently struck around 7 a.m. by what police are describing as a bus.

It is unknown if the striking vehicle was a school bus or one from a transportation company, but police are still looking for the vehicle.

Both Pottstown and Pottsgrove School Districts said the bus was not affiliated with them.

Skippack Teen Charged In Brutal Stabbing Of Girlfriend: Update

SKIPPACK TOWNSHIP, PA — A 16-year-old reportedly stabbed his 17-year-old girlfriend to death while breaking up with her Saturday night on the Skippack Trail near Palmer Park.

Tristan Brian Arthur Stahley stabbed Julianne Siller multiple times before hiding her body in the woods off the trail, according to an affidavit filed by the state police in Skippack and the Montgomery County Detectives.

Siller, of Royersford, had been going out with Stahley “off and on” since January, the affidavit said.

Stahley, of Skippack, was arrested Saturday night and charged with murder of the first degree, murder of the third degree and criminal possession of a weapon, court documents said.

16-Year-Old Charged In Stabbing Death Of Girlfriend In Skippack Township

A Skippack teen has been charged with stabbing to death his 17-year-old girlfriend in a wooded area of the Skippack Trail Saturday night.

Tristan Stahley, 16, was arraigned Sunday on charges including first degree murder in the death of Julianne Siller, said Kevin Steele, the Montgomery County first assistant district attorney.

According to court documents, Stahley and the victim, Siller, a high school senior who lived in Royersford, were at Stahley’s home on Rittenhouse Lane Saturday when Stahley’s mother overheard the pair arguing.

Soon after – and apparently reconciled – they left the house and drove in Siller’s car to nearby Palmer Park in Skippack Township, where they argued again as they walked along the trail.

Body Found In Pottstown Borough Hall Park

POTTSTOWN, PA — The body of a woman was found in Smith Family Plaza Thursday evening.

A passerby alerted police to the discovery about 6:45 p.m. and investigating officers found the woman dead by the fountain on the park on High Street, opposite Pottstown Borough Hall.

Police had not identified the body as of 8 p.m., although they estimated her age to be about 40.
