BOYERTOWN AREA MULTI-SERVICE, INC. Save the Date and Join the Fun BASKET RAFFLE Friday, August 28th, 2015 at 5:00pm Binder Hall at Gilbertsville Fire Company

5:00 pm – Preview all baskets, place raffle tickets in the baskets of your choice, enjoy a bit to eat and drink with your friends. Vote for your favorite basket. Food will be available for purchase, but outside food will not be permitted.

Basket Raffle Tickets – Additional raffle tickets will be available for purchase from 5 pm to 7:20 pm. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted.

Special Raffle Tickets – Special tickets will be available to purchase for the larger Specialty Items and 50/50 cash drawing.

7:30 pm – The drawing of all winning tickets for the baskets, Specialty Items, 50/50, and Door Prizes. You must be present to win.

Award Presentation – The basket voted as the ‘favorite’ will receive an award.

Admission Ticket $20 Admission tickets purchased in advance will receive 15 Basket Raffle Tickets. Admission tickets purchased at the door will include 10 Basket Raffle Tickets. Admission ticket is the door prize ticket.

We are looking for Basket Builders! We are looking for organizations, special groups, businesses, individuals, teams, etc. to donate baskets to be raffled. Baskets should range in value from $25 and up. A list of basket contents should accompany the basket. Here’s something new! When you donate a basket for the raffle, you will receive a coupon good for 5 free raffle tickets at the basket raffle. Your basket needs to be received at Multi-Service by Friday, August 21, 2015. Any baskets received after the deadline will not be listed in the program.

We would like to have at least 120 baskets for the raffle.

If you would like to build a basket or put a team together to build a basket for the raffle, please let us know. Fifth Annual Summer Fundraiser for Artfusion

ArtFusion-color600Pottstown, PA – Looking for something fun to do in August? Make plans to join ArtFusion 19464 for their fifth annual summer beef and beer fundraiser on Saturday, August 8 from 6-9pm. This year’s event will again be held at the ArtFusion facility at 254 E. High St.

Advance tickets are $20, if purchased before July 25. Tickets purchased after this date are $25. If the event has not sold out, tickets will be available at the door. Tickets can be bought online at http://www.artfusion19464.org, in person at ArtFusion, or over the phone by calling 610-326-2506. Guests can choose a beef entrée, or a vegetarian sandwich option.

LowResVBCLogoVictory Brewing Company has once again generously donated their amazing beer for this event. The Butcher and the BBQ will be making the hot beef sandwiches and Montesano Bros. will again be creating their amazing side salads and veggie sandwiches. The Community Gardens in Pottstown will be donating a fresh garden salad for everyone to enjoy. There will be soda and water in addition to Victory beer and homemade desserts to finish off the meal.

Along with enjoying great food and great beer, guests will have the chance to win fun door prizes and try their luck at a 50/50 raffle. Guests could win a $50 Wegman’s gift card, a gift basket from local soapmaker Scentual Gardens, a gift card from Connections coffee shop, goodies from Milkman Cake Shoppe, a “Shop Local” gift basket donated by Dolan Law Group, a basket of cheer donated by the ArtFusion Board of Directors and featuring a selection of red and white wines, and their choice of original artwork. Each guest will receive one door prize chance free with their paid ticket. Additional tickets will be one sale throughout the night. Proceeds benefit ArtFusion 19464’s upcoming fall educational exhibit Her Story. This show will feature artwork inspired by women’s history.

ArtFusion 19464 is a 501(c)3 non-profit community art center located at 254 E. High St. in downtown Pottstown. The school offers day, evening and weekend classes to all ages. The goal of these classes is to help students develop their creative skills through self-expression and independence. ArtFusion’s gallery hosts rotating shows featuring local artists. The gallery also sells handcrafted, one-of-a-kind gift items. The gallery is open Tuesday through Friday from 10am-5pm and Saturday 10am-3pm. The gallery is closed Sunday and Monday.

Community Event To Promote Positive Police And Community Relationships And Support A Pottstown Youth That Is Fighting Cancer

Helping to Inspire Positive and Healthy Opportunities for Progress Inc. (HIP HOP INC.) is pleased to announce the Police and Community Together (PACT) Community Fun Day to be held at the Hill School, 860 Beech St, Pottstown, PA 19464 on June 13th, 2015 at 2:00pm.

The goal of PACT is to promote positive relationships between local police departments and the communities they serve. The PACT Community Fun Day will also recognize and support Destri Roye, a sixth grade student enrolled in the Pottstown School District who is fighting cancer.

The PACT Community Fun day will feature a basketball game between members of the Pottstown Police Department and faculty, staff and alumni of the Hill School. The community day will also be a fun filled day that will include face painting, music, door prizes and special guest. It promises to be a day in which community members can gather and show solidarity with local police departments, while enjoying a fun, family event.

Television personality Brooklyn Sal, from the CBS Sports Network and Arise TV will serve as special guest announcer and District Justice Scott Palladino will serve as special guest referee.

According to Ralph Godbolt, President and CEO of HIP HOP Inc., “Positive and supportive relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve is essential in developing strong and safe communities. The PACT Community Fun Day is a great first step in encouraging positive relationships between communities and the institution of policing, not to mention, we are proud to be able to use the PACT Community Day as a way to support Destri Roye and her family. Dextri is a strong and intelligent young lady and we are confident that with great community support, she will beat cancer.”

POTTSTOWN, PA — The Annual Pottstown Family Fest will be held on Wednesday, March 12, from 5-7 p.m. at Pottstown Senior High School, 750 North Washington Street, Pottstown.

This free family-focused event will feature information/resources from more than 30 area organizations, activities for the entire family, roving entertainment, mini sandwiches, drinks, Rita’s water ice, and a variety of door prizes.

Informational booths will be open from 5-7 p.m. Door prizes will be awarded at 7 p.m. (must be present to win). Children must be accompanied by an adult.

“Family Fest was developed to enhance, celebrate and explore family dynamics, development, growth, and unity,” said Jenn Brown, director, Pottstown Family Center. “This year’s theme, Stay Healthy, Play More, focuses on buying local and encourages families to find volunteer opportunities they care about so they can ultimately give back to their community.”

This annual event is sponsored by Family Services/Pottstown Family Center, Pottstown Parks & Recreation, and the Pottstown School District with funding support from the Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation.
