StoryFUSION Festival – September 19th – 21st 2014
Headliners: Jennings and Ponder
World folktales, duo narrative performance, interwoven with traditional music. Besides evening performances on Friday and Saturday, there will be workshops, free children’s show and story swaps.

In a powerful blend of technique and soul, this Vermont couple presents traditional world folktales as duo narrative performance, interwoven with traditional Celtic music on harp and concertina. By combining their voices, sensibilities, and creative talents, the duo has developed a form of entertainment that is truly magical, with a unique ability to transcend boundaries.
Riverfest Flows Through The Weekend
She ain’t exactly a thrill ride, and she ain’t always pretty.
And in the past she’s been downright mean.
But the Susquehanna River belongs to the region, and plenty of people love her just the same.
Dozens of them kicked off Riverfest 2014 Friday with a kayak trip, paddling several miles from West Pittston to Nesbitt Park in Wilkes-Barre.

ANNUAL POTTSTOWN FAMILY FEST TO BE HELD WEDNESDAY, MARCH 12
POTTSTOWN, PA — The Annual Pottstown Family Fest will be held on Wednesday, March 12, from 5-7 p.m. at Pottstown Senior High School, 750 North Washington Street, Pottstown.
This free family-focused event will feature information/resources from more than 30 area organizations, activities for the entire family, roving entertainment, mini sandwiches, drinks, Rita’s water ice, and a variety of door prizes.
Informational booths will be open from 5-7 p.m. Door prizes will be awarded at 7 p.m. (must be present to win). Children must be accompanied by an adult.
“Family Fest was developed to enhance, celebrate and explore family dynamics, development, growth, and unity,” said Jenn Brown, director, Pottstown Family Center. “This year’s theme, Stay Healthy, Play More, focuses on buying local and encourages families to find volunteer opportunities they care about so they can ultimately give back to their community.”
This annual event is sponsored by Family Services/Pottstown Family Center, Pottstown Parks & Recreation, and the Pottstown School District with funding support from the Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation.

Schuylkill River Festival 2013, October 12 From Noon To 6pm In Pottstown
RiverFest celebrations are on Saturday, Oct 12, 2013 from noon until 6pm at Riverfront Park (140 College Drive in Pottstown)
Learn to Kayak along the river between 12 and 4:30 were kayaks and equipment will be available for a low cost ($15/half hour) through the day.

Historic River Walks at 1:00pm AND 4:00pm – presented by the staff of Pottsgrove Manor.

The Ninth Annual Carousel Of Flavor Restaurant Festival – Pottstown
Date : Sunday, Sept 30, 2012 from noon to 4 p.m.
100 Block of High Street, Pottstown in front of Borough Hall
Expanded wine and beer garden this year! Over 4,000 attended last year. Featuring live bands, crafters and a clown for children of all ages.

Pottstown Celebrates Young Children Community Event
A community celebration for families with young children will be held on Saturday, April 21 at the Freedom Valley YMCA at Pottstown (724 North Adams Street) from 1:00-3:00. Activities will include a petting farm, moon bounce, Pipper the Clown, Smokey the Bear and over 30 community agencies with games and resources.
PEAK, Pottstown’s school readiness initiative, is partnering with Pottstown Memorial Medical Center
for this community outreach event. All families with young children are invited to attend.
