Area businesses are gearing up for a big change that will begin Saturday: 10-digit dialing instead of seven.
For Phil Rudy, owner of Circles on the Square in Wilkes-Barre, the change means 200 numbers need to be reprogrammed in his fax machine. He faxes menus from his deli on Public Square to 200 area businesses. Circles employee Bill Scholl has been reprogramming all the numbers.
According to WBRE TV in Wilkes-Barre, Bloomsburg police believe Brian Savage’s death was alcohol related. The apartment complex where Brian died was raided in April and 16 people were cited for underage drinking.
Savage was reportedly drinking vodka and beer the night he died. Police are looking for Brian’s book bag which they believe will offer clues about what exactly happened. The book bag is missing.
It looks as though we are starting off this year like last year, only instead of Penn State it is Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania with the dubious distinction.
A 19-year-old sophomore from Elizabethtown died at Bloomsburg University Saturday morning. Brian Savage was unable to be revived by paramedics after being found unresponsive in a Bloomsburg apartment where he had been drinking with friends. Brian was a member of the soccer team and was majoring in business management.
