Anthony Weiner’s Bakery Meltdown: He Was Provoked, But Still…

It’s possible that New York Democratic mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner was simply suffering from low blood sugar when he verbally attacked a man who tried to shame him Wednesday as Weiner campaigned in an Orthodox Jewish section of Brooklyn.

After all, his left cheek was bulging like a chipmunk when he heard someone in the bakery call him a “scumbag.”

Or it could just be that he’s had it, sick of being moralized at by people who are too dense to grasp that Weiner, who has already apologized for his mortifying sexual improprieties and begged his wife for forgiveness, has Moved On.

Weiner Droops – “Carlos Danger” Places A Distant Fourth In New Mayoral Poll

With strong support from white Democratic likely primary voters and voters critical of the so- called stop-and-frisk police tactic, Public Advocate Bill de Blasio leads the Democratic race for New York City mayor with 30 percent, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today.

With four weeks to go, City Council Speaker Christine Quinn has 24 percent, with 22 percent for former Comptroller William Thompson, 10 percent for former U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner, 6 percent for Comptroller John Liu, 1 percent for former Council member Sal Albanese and 7 percent undecided, the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University poll finds.

Stop-and-frisk is excessive and harasses innocent people, 60 percent of likely Democratic primary voters say, while 31 percent say it is an acceptable way to make the city safer. Among those critical of stop-and-frisk, 34 percent back de Blasio, with 24 percent for Thompson and 22 percent for Quinn.

Democratic likely voters support 66 – 25 percent the creation of an inspector general to independently monitor the New York Police Department.

Weiner Deflates After Sexting Revelation: Drops To Fourth Place In NYC Mayoral Poll

Anthony Weiner has fallen to fourth place in the New York City mayoral race, according to a new survey from Quinnipiac.

The poll of likely Democratic primary voters gives Weiner 16 percent of the vote. City Council President Christine Quinn leads with 27 percent, followed by 21 percent for Public Advocate Bill De Blasio and 20 percent for former comptroller Bill Thompson.

Allegations Surface Of Explicit Exchanges By Weiner After His Resignation

Anthony D. Weiner, a leading candidate for mayor, on Tuesday confronted new allegations that he had engaged in raunchy online conversations with a woman after he had resigned from Congress over similar behavior.

Mr. Weiner seemed to acknowledge the behavior, saying, “Some things that have been posted today are true.”  He did not deny that the conversations took place after he said he would seek treatment to end his pattern of sending sexually explicit words and images to women who were fans of his politics.

“These things that I did were wrong and hurtful to my wife and caused us to go through challenges in our marriage that extended past my resignation from Congress,” he said in a statement issued Tuesday.  He added, “This behavior is behind me.”

The allegations were posted on a Web site called The Dirty, which describes itself as a gossip and satire site, and which warns that its “postings may contain erroneous or inaccurate information.”

A Comeback For Anthony Weiner?

One year after resigning from Congress following news he had emailed lewd photos of himself to women, married former Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner desires a return to politics, according to New York news outlets.

“The disgraced former congressman—who’s sitting on a $4.5 million campaign war chest—is mulling a bid for citywide office next year and ‘seriously considering’ a mayoral run,” sources told the New York Post. The newspaper reported that Weiner has spoken with former staffers about returning to work for him.

New York Post Slams Weiner’s Farewell News Conference

The New York Post took a parting shot at Anthony Weiner today on their Editorial Page.  The title of the piece is “Graceless To The End.

Referring to Weiner’s farewell “whine”, the Post rips into his self-inflicted media circus and fall from grace, noting he is arrogant, self-obsessed and self-righteous among other things.

Amid A Storm Of Controversy, A Fallen Weiner Resigns And Enters Rehab

What’s up with all the sex addictions lately????  Anthony Weiner has entered rehab (probably under the advice of Ed Rendell, M.D.) to hopefully get a grip on his sex addiction and learn a few things about social media and what not to tweet!

Weiner notified Nancy Pelosi that he intended to give up his U.S.Congressional seat.  Pelosi has been one of many Democrats, including POTUS Barack Obama, calling for Weiner to resign.  This once rising star of Democratic politics has hit rock bottom.  Last July, former POTUS Bill Clinton officiated at his wedding and now Democratic leaders cannot distance themselves from him fast enough.  The Democratic leadership is afraid of how this scandal could hurt their chances in 2012.

It is hard to feel sorry for a grown man who does not have the self-control not to tweet or text pictures of his anatomy.  Especially a newly married man who’s wife is expecting their first child.  Hopefully Weiner will develop some more appropriate hobbies as the result of his stint in rehab.

Today, Weiner held a news conference in Brooklyn and officially resigned.  He appropriately blamed himself for the predicament he “created”.  Unlike politicians in Pottstown, who do inappropriate things and say they are “passionate”, Weiner took responsibility for his error in judgment.  I at least give the guy credit for that!

Weiner Stands Firm – Will Not Resign!

Even with most of the Democratic Party calling for his resignation, Anthony Weiner is refusing to step down.  While the Democrats are having apoplexy over Weinergate, there are some who took this “sexcapade” and turned it into a profitable enterprise.

Evidently one can buy an anatomically correct Anthony Weiner doll.  Demand is so high the website keeps crashing.  You can even get a miniature Blackberry for your Weiner doll as an accessory.  If Weiner resigns, the doll could become highly collectible.  Can you imagine EBay’s delight!

Fellow Dems Call For Weiner To Resign And Enter Rehabilitation

Allyson Schwartz has publically called for Anthony Weiner (D-NY) to resign from the U.S. House of Representatives.  Allyson Schwartz (D-PA) is in charge of candidate recruitment and member services for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.  Her call for Weiner’s resignation indicates to many that the party wants Weiner to step down.  This kind of scandal will make Democratic victories more challenging in 2o12.

More commentary on Weinergate by yet another country heard from – Fast Eddie Spendell (D-PA), former bankruptor of Pennsylvania said that Weiner should resign and go to rehab, even going as far as suggesting in-patient treatment.  Well thanks for the medical opinion there Eddo.  Betcha didn’t know Fast Eddie had a medical credential along with his other various and sundry talents.

Of course, Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has called for an ethics investigation to determine if Weiner broke House rules.  Knowing Nancy is on the job makes me sleep so much better at night.

Weiner Admits Tweeting Lewd Photo

How to put this delicately…

Does anyone else see the irony in the above headline?  A man named Weiner tweeted a photo of his….well, you get the idea.

U.S. Congressman Anthony Weiner (D-NY) just got married last July.  Today, Weiner admitted having online sex relationships with “about six women over the past three years”, after his botched cover-up attempt failed.

We should feel good knowing that Mr. Weiner never had “sex” outside of his marriage, HOWEVER he continued to have online relationships with other women after he in fact DID get married.  Ummmm…does anyone else find comfort in this revelation?  Mr. Weiner also stated he “believes” the women he sexted were all adults, but he does not actually know their ages.

Another juicy bit of irony here is that former President Bill Clinton officiated at Mr. Weiner’s wedding. 

Ya gotta love politics!
