Adam Lambert Returning To F.M. Kirby Center, Wilkes-Barre

American Idol” Season 8 runner-up and future front man for the band Queen Adam Lambert will play an area show, it has just been announced.

Lambert will play at 7:30 p.m. May 25 at F .M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts in Wilkes-Barre, the center has just announced.

Tickets, at $35, $45 and $60 will go on sale to Kirby members and a special online sale by Wyoming Valley radio station WKRZ-FM 98.5 at 10 a.m. April 20, and to the public at 10 a.m. April 23 at the Kirby Center box office at 71 Public Square, Wilkes-Barre, by phone at 570-826-1100 or online at www.kirbycenter.org. Adam Lambert Jailed And Released In Finland For Fighting

American Idol alum, Adam Lambert is known for his “kerfuffles” as well as his singing.

Adam Lambert and his reality TV star boyfriend, Sauli Koskinen, were arrested and jailed Thursday morning for getting into a fight outside a Helsinki, Finland bar.  The duo were released several hours later, and the 29-year-old “American Idol” alumnus says he is ready to move on from the incident.

Ashthon Jones Leaves Idol

America voted and Ashthon Jones had the lowest number of votes in the first week of the final 13 competition.   Joining Ashton in the bottom three were Karen Rodriguez and Haley Reinhart.

Adam Lambert performed an acoustic version of his new song “Aftermath”.  A more subdued and wholesome looking Adam Lambert was greeted by shrieks of approval from the audience.  Ditty-Dirty Money & Skylar Grey performed “Coming Home”.

I don’t know about you, but Adam Lambert and Wilkes-Barre does not seem like a match made in heaven to me.  Nothing against Wilkes-Barre intended either so don’t get your knickers in a bunch.

Adam’s tour kicks off at the FM Kirby Center for the Performing Arts in Wilkes-Barre on June 4th.  Opening acts include last year’s fourth place Idol runner-up Allison Iraheta and Orianthi whose hit single “According To You” has been burning up the charts.

Tickets are $39.50.  If you don’t feel like heading to Wilkes-Barre, Adam will be performing at Musikfest in Bethlehem in August.

Oprah And Glambert

Something is in the works between Oprah and Adam Lambert.  There is a posting involving Adam on Oprah’s website that indicates another appearance or something possibly more.  They are looking for people who want to be in the audience for a once in a lifetime event involving Adam.

Adam Lambert On Ellen Today

Adam Lambert was on Ellen this afternoon.  Adam still didn’t apologize but seems to have learned his lesson.  He made some concessions about his AMA performance which I thought at showed he realized his judgement was in error.  He sang the Max Martin song “What Do You Want From Me” off the new CD and did a nice job.

I found this YouTube clip of an interview Adam did which is interesting.  Take a look.  It’s less than two minutes but reveals some interesting stuff.

Adam Lambert Discusses His AMA Peformance On The CBS Early Show

Adam Lambert discussed his sexually charged performance on the CBS Early Show.  The interviewer (Maggie Rodriguez) didn’t let Adam off too lightly.  She tried to drive the point home that you can’t do those kinds of things on national television because you don’t know who is watching.

Adam actually wasn’t as arrogant as I have seen him in the past.  While he wouldn’t offer an apology, he did relucantly admit that he’s new at all this and is “learning”.  In the future he would be more likely to stick to the rehearsed performance.

Adam said his background is the theatre so he tends to gauge his performance by who he sees in the audience.  He wasn’t thinking about children since it was nearly 11:00 pm.  Adam has consistently said he’s not a babysitter and parents should monitor what their children watch.  However, when pressed, he admitted in the future he would be more mindful when on television.

I suppose that’s a start.  Getting caught up in the moment is only going to go so far.  Adam is still responsible for Adam.  He also admitted it was not his best vocal performance.  I agree with that!  Too much screaming!!

New Adam Lambert Song That I Really Like!

I just heard a track off of Adam Lambert’s new album that I really like!  Amazing as it seems because I did not like him on American Idol last season.

The track was written by Pink and Swedish mega songwriter/producer Max Martin.  Max Martin has penned oodles of hits for Britney, Back Street Boys, NSYNC, Pink, Kelly Clarkson and Katy Perry to name a few.  Pretty much Max Martin being involved in anything generates a hit!

Adam is singing in what would appear to be his natural range, there is no bizarreness etc… It’s a well written and well sung tune that could be a big hit for Adam.  Think commercial success instead of cult classic.  He actually has a nice voice when he uses it properly!

American Idol Fest At American Music Awards

This year’s AMA’s will be worth tuning into if you are a fan of American Idol!  Not one but 4 Idol alums are performing!!

Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Adam Lambert and Chris Daughtry will be performing this year!  What a powerhouse line up!

The AMA’s are on November 22nd so tune in and check out your favorite(s).

Adam Lambert Records A Song By Lady Gaga

American Idol runner up, Adam Lambert aka Glambert has recorded a song written by none other than Lady Gaga.  Whether you like her or not, she is a music phenom who can seem to do no wrong career wise. 

Evidently the song was not specifically written for Lambert but Lady Gaga thought it would be a good match for the Season 8 veteran.

I will be very interested to hear this new song out of curiosity.
