J.C. Penney Closing 33 Stores – 2 In Philadelphia Suburbs

Struggling department-store operator J.C. Penney Co. announced it will cut 2,000 jobs and close 33 stores – including its stores in Exton and Burlington – as it tries to get back on the path to profitability.

The news raises concerns that Penney’s holiday season sales were not what the company hoped for and that the chain needs to do even more to recover from a turnaround plan that has had disastrous results.

J.C. Penney said earlier this month said it was pleased with its holiday results but declined to give sales figures, raising worries among Wall Street analysts about how the season actually fared.

Penney has 116,000 staffers and operates more than 1,100 stores.

Philadelphia ‘Swiss Cheese’ Indecent Exposer Arrested At His Norristown Home

NORRISTOWN, PA — The alleged “Swiss cheese pervert,” Christopher Pagano, 41, of Norristown, was arrested Thursday morning as part of a joint investigation between Philadelphia and Norristown police, according to NBC10.

Pagano is suspected of being the “Swiss cheese pervert,” infamous throughout the area for his penchant for propositioning women to perform lewd acts on him using Swiss cheese.

According to NBC10, the suspect was described as a heavy-set male between the ages of 40 and 50 with a goatee. Police also said he was driving a newer model silver sedan but has also been spotted in a black colored sedan.

Recap Of Live Coverage: DA Says 2 Men Charged In Ashley Lynn Kline Homicide Case

Two Berks County men are charged with beating and stabbing Ashley Lynn Kline, then setting her body ablaze in a Clay Township wildlife area, according to officials.

Adam M. Lynch, 21, and Ryan M. Schannauer, 19, were both charged Thursday morning with the brutal killing of Kline, a 23-year-old Berks County woman who had been missing since Dec. 30.

Police allege on that night Lynch and Schannauer picked up Kline from her home, killing her sometime later in the night or next morning.

Both are locked up at Lancaster County Prison, without bail, after being arraigned on counts of homicide, arson, abuse of a corpse and conspiracy to commit all three of those crimes.
