California’s average gasoline price set a record Saturday of $4.614 for a gallon of regular, up 12.8 cents overnight – but anyone who filled up in the last few days probably isn’t surprised.
Gasoline prices skyrocketed after the Exxon Mobile refinery in Torrance was knocked offline Monday by a power outage. Other lingering refinery and pipeline problems also contributed to the soaring costs at the pump.

I recall in the summer of 2008,fuel prices here in Pittsburgh were near or just above $4.00 a gallon. Then by October I was paying $1.67.You heard me correctly, UNDER $2.00 a gallon!!
Now, my question is, where is the outrage when gas prices have been OVER $3.00 a gallon for about a year now.
OH, wait a minute, I forgot. Silly me, we have a DEMO-RAT in the White House!
The Demo-rats have a totally different set of rules than anyone else.
If we had a Republican in the White House, we would NEVER hear the end of how gas prices are so high and Code Pink and Cindy Sheahan would STILL be yakking about the wars in the middle east.
