Yes, you read that correctly.   The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is raising tolls 10 percent for cash paying customers in 2012.  The increase does not apply to E-Zpass customers.  Tolls increased in 2011 as well, 10 percent for cash payers and 3 percent for E-Zpass users.

This is the Turnpike Commissions way of gently urging everyone to use E-Zpass…

  1. Roy, I really dig my EZ Pass. Every time I go away on trips I always enjoy zooming through the EZ Pass line. So now I’ll be saving money AND not having to deal with toll lines. Yay!!

  2. I may have to get EZ Pass now that the Turnpike wants more money from me.I use the Turnpike at least 4 times a week for my 2nd part-time job.It would be nice to see all the road work COMPLETED in my lifetime on the Turnpike.I guess the workers that are standing around holding shovels need more money to build a bigger garage for the Cadillacs.
