I attended this Council meeting and recall the incident in question. At the time, I thought this was going to end up in a lawsuit. Frivolous lawsuits are why people have no interest in running for public office and why people are not interested in municipal government. Over the years I have been asked to run for School Board and Borough Council. As much as I would like to serve this community, the dirty politics in our town and the propensity to sue people will make me say NO every time.

Mr Read has some nerve! Apparently he forgets calling Councilor Rhoads a “Stooge” in print and calling him an idiot out loud at a public meeting!! Did Councilor Rhoads sue? Not likely. He’s a grown-up. Mr Read is one of those wanna-bes who think the Borough can’t run without them when in fact they cause more problems expense and aggravation. I agree with you, Roy. Any lawyer worth his salt would tell Mr Read to take a hike!! But I seldom see a lawyer taking the high road. Read and his attorney will waste tax payer money the court’s & Mr Gibson’s time in this exercise in frivolity and futility.
