Seriously Rick, you need to reign in Hylton. It should be forbidden for a school board member to arbitrarily post their “editorials” and “plans” in the Mercury, independent of the rest of the school board. The board is a unit, Tom is a cog. The board needs to make statements from the board as a whole.
Y’all need to pass a rule that stops this nonsense. I make a motion that forbids school board members from putting ads in the Mercury advertising their position on the issues! Who will second it?!?

Joran van der Sloot was captured in Santiago, Chile on Thursday. He is being returned to Peru to face murder charges today. Joran is proclaiming his innocence, of course.
Joran was also charged today in Alabama with trying to extort $250,000.00 from Beth Twitty, Natalie Holloway’s mother. Joran stated he would provide the location of Natalie’s remains and give details of her death, if paid. Thus far, Joran has received a partial payment of $15,000.00, wired to a Dutch bank.
Details were released that Stephany Flores’ neck was broken. Her body was found Tuesday, by a maid. No weapon was found indicating that the killer used his bare hands. Joran’s hotel room was a compete mess.
170 hospitals were surveyed, 96 responded and 62 were ranked. Eight hospitals ranked in all ten specialties: cancer, diabetes, endocrinology, gastroenterology, heart and heart surgery, kidney, neonatology, neurology and neurosurgery, orthopedics, pulmonology and urology.
CHOP aka Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia made the top ten list. Kudos to CHOP for providing excellent medical care for children in the Philadelphia Region.
