Well slap me silly and call me a monkey’s uncle. It looks like we might have found some grant money to help with tree problems. WOW! How the heck did that happen? You mean somebody on the Shade Tree Commission actually found some money?
Thanks be to God Council is handling this themselves. $200K might be more than Trees, Inc. needs to add to their whopping $92,000 kitty.
Council will vote to approve the application at the April meeting. This money would provide for asphalt sidewalk repairs cased by curb trees.
In addition to the Borough applying for the money, Council also wisely decided that they would manage it if they get it, NOT the Shade Tree Commission (which is actually the front for Trees, Inc. Bless this Councils wisdom!!
I am **tickled pink** now I can throw away the wavy mirrors in my entry. I had all our friends tricked into thinking the sidewalks were just part of our “house of fun”!
You all have Jody Rhoads to thank for remaining the “thorn in the side” regarding curb trees. He is NOT a tree-hater, as Hylton would have you believe, but rather a hater of the disrespect and arrogance shown towards homeowners as pertetrated by the Tree commission. The more support everyone shows for Council and their efforts and for the perseverance of Councilor Rhoads, the more will get done!
Roysrants fully supports Councilman Rhoads and his efforts to expose problems in Pottstown. He is making a difference.
