The musical retelling of the Hans Christian Andersen story The Ugly Duckling, HONK! features a squadron of comical geese, a sly tomcat who wants to befriend ducklings only so he can eat them, a tearful mother, a dad always `ducking` out of his responsibilities, a duo comprised of a cat and a hen right out of a Shakespearean comedy, a wisecracking bullfrog, and an ugly duckling who discovers his inner beauty by becoming a swan. Ugly’s odd, gawky looks make him an instant outcast with his family and the neighborhood. Separated from the farm and pursued by a hungry cat, Ugly must find his way home. PMMC Strike A No Go

CHS finally realized that people in Pottstown aren’t completely without sense and made a reasonable offer to SEIU members.  The offer was overwhelmingly accepted, thereby avoiding a planned three day work stoppage in protest of unfair labor practices by Community Health Services of Brentwood, TN.

Glad this has been put to bed.  The contact is for five years so let’s hope they don’t try and pull the crap again.  This is a union town and people weren’t born yesterday.  You can’t pull the wool over everyone’s eyes.  These tactics are CHS’s modis operandi.

Very shady people.  Maybe someday we can get their hooks out of our hospital and our town!

Allen Iverson Returns To The 76ers

Finally, a reason to start going to 76ers games again.

After a long dry spell, some exciting NBA news has been announced!  AI has accepted a deal to return to Philadelphia.  I haven’t been to a 76ers  game since he left town and I look forward to hopefully seeing him play again!

Welcome home Allen!!  I can get my AI bobble-head back out!!!

WOOT!
